Almost 4 days late should I wait or take

I'm going on 4 days late. I'm usually pretty regular. We have been trying for about 2 years. I was 2 days late about 3 or 4 months ago and neg. And I took a test 2 months ago a day early because I really thought we were pregnant and it was neg. I'm so nervous about taking a test and it being negative again.

Should I wait a few more days.

I should say the past couple weeks of been very stressful for us. With a lot going on and my husband being sick.
