When to install car seat?

I installed the base around 29-30 weeks and ill be putting the car seat in when i go in for my c section at 37 weeks

Ladies- 
Best thing to do is just to install the base. Have car seat by your bags when it's time to go. 
If you were to get into an accident and the car seat is in your car then it's no longer any good. Just a word of advice :) 
Not sure if some of you are just installing the base and leaving the car seat out or not 😊

I installed ours already I'm 36 weeks. I may have to get induced at 37. 
If you're in an accident though with the car seat and base installed you'll have to buy a new one - although your car insurance should cover it, it may be a few days to weeks before they reimburse you or send you money for it. 
I went to a local fire station and had them do a car seat safety check with my husband, so now we both know how it needs to be installed we'll keep it out of the car til it's go time.

My doctor told me to have it installed and inspected at 35 weeks. An incorrectly installed car seat is as good as not having a car seat at all. Could you get into an accident before the baby is born? Yes, but you don't increase your chance by putting a car seat in the car. I would much rather know I'm putting my baby in a safe seat when I'm leaving the hospital than stressing about it on the way home. Whenever you install it, make sure you get it inspected, 3 out of 4 car seats are installed incorrectly so have the fire department double check it. You won't have time to do this while you're in labor. Just my two cents.

Install it and get it checked before going to the hospital. Then take out the seat at least until you leave for the hospital. My hubby took both seat and base out after we had ours inspected since he was shown how to properly do it and installed it a few times on his own with the officers supervising.

Most car seats are not installed properly. Take it to the local fire department and they will check it or put it in for you. Remember, it shouldn't move more than an inch.

If your SO is coming home at all while your in the hospital just tell him to do it then honestly. As long as he knows how to install the base properly. That's what I'm having hubby do. He just needs to practice With the base so he knows how to do it.

We did a practice run because following those instructions is pretty tough. But then took them out and my husband will re-install while I'm in the hospital. I'll be in there go 5 days so there's plenty of time.
