5 min eater?!

My 8 month old will only eat for five minutes at a time sometimes. Is it possible that she is still getting enough in that time span?

My daughter is 7 months will nurse for 5-6 minutes then it's "oooh look 👀 mommy  let me see what's going on over there" 😖

In my case that's normal. When I started her on solids, she started to nurse for a shorter amount of time around 7-8 months. Now at 11months, she's chugging for 15 minutes. It seems to vary.

My daughter is 7.5 months and only nurses for 5-7 minutes on one side because she is such a distracted eater. At nighttime when everything is dark and quiet and she is too sleepy to notice het surroundings she will eat up to 10 mins. I know she still gets enough because she's gaining weight and goes 2.5-3 hours before crying for more food. I can even hear milk sloshing around in her stomach when I burp her. She's just efficient!

Same with my son. 7.5 months and he only eats 3-5 mins during the day and maybe 10-12 mins before going to sleep. How frequent do you feed your baby?

Some babies are just very efficient at nursing. My son was like this so yes she could be getting enough. I wouldn't worry as long as she's gaining weight appropriately

My 8 week old is 5-8 minute nurser.... she is so fast. Sometimes she nurses longer, but mostly it's very quick.
