Went to the doctors on Tuesday to find out I have BV(bacterial vaginosis) don't know much about it. Has Anyone had it and can give me any information?

I get bv at least once a year it's pretty annoying is just an over abundant amount of bad bacteria basically each time I get it it's never usually the same it says you can get it from having lots of sexual partners but I get it from simple things that triggers my ph balance to go out of whack my bv usually comes from using overly scented soap

any insight?
