Tongue tie and BF
My LO was born with a tongue tie, it's so tight it makes her tongue look like a heart. The pediatrician that was here to exam her said she doesn't believe it affects anything. But the lactation consultant said it really does. I planned to breast feed but she wouldn't latch and then when she did she would suck twice. I've been bottle feeding and it's working wonderfully. But a part of me wants to still try. But with my milk not in yet, it's hard when it's so frustrating. SO and I agreed when we get out of the hospital and go to her pedi that we are going to cut her tie. Any moms have an input for me?
