Horseback Riding While Pregnant?

Just looking to hear what my fellow equestrian ladies have done. I have heard both yes and no on whether a person rode during pregnancy. It is my true passion and I ride probably 4-5 times a week and my horse is quite reliable. I am an advanced rider. So just wondering if anyone else kept riding?

I plan to continue to ride and barrel race while pregnant, until I am too uncomfortable.   I would check with your doctor to get the ok. As long as there are no complications with your pregnancy, why not.  It is what your body is used to! You know your riding abilities and your horse best.  My mom rode until she was about 6-7 months with all of us and my sister rode until about the same with hers.  Of course on all well broke, reliable horses. Listen to your self and you'll know when to stop!  Good luck and have a happy and healthy pregnancy!

I rode till about 5 months or so, but then I felt like my hips were being seperated afterwards so I stopped. Doctor told me it is my choice... I chose to continue for a bit because my mount was reliable and safe...if that werent the case I would of stopped earlier
