When do you start pumping if youre breastfeeding?

(Note: I know to wait until the baby is born 😊)
So if I'm planning on breastfeeding, when do I start pumping (as well)?

It is best to wait 6 wks to pump, so you di nit cause an oversupply. Around six wks your body should be adjusting to how much it needs to produce for your baby. You may not feel as full anymore but that's supposed to happen.

I plan to pump just so that her dad can also have the joy of feeding her. I also might go back to work one day a week pp 2 months so I will need to pump there to feel comfortable physically! But I would wait til your body has figured out its supply. Your brain will think your baby has eaten when you pump so your body will make more milk then it needs. Which could be nice if you are looking to share with someone who can't breast feed but otherwise might be an inconvenience to you.
