Illegal? Child pornography?

Zav • single 🔓Jamaican shorty fresh out of Florida🐊🌴
I'm pretty late with sharing this but actually a while back when I was 14 my mom had found out that I was skipping school having unprotected sex behind her back. So she had went the extra measures to take me out of public school so I won't ever see this guy again. Anyway long story short she took me to a children's advocacy center and they asked me questions and recorded my response after I told them my story about why I was there. Anyway I went into another room where there were women dressed in scrubs they gave me a blanket and laid me on one of those thing's that you lay on when you go to a doctor so they checked my vagina, swabbed it and had me take a pregnancy test. They also took all kinds of pictures of the inside of my vagina... I haven't really thought about it much since it happened till now... Was that illegal? Or was that something that always has to get done. You guys tell me what you think.

If it was a rape kit then yes the pictures are normal if they found trauma to your vagina or pelvic area for evidence

It was done for evidence and for them to check if you had any stds. It's not being sold or shown to anyone it went into a file for medical purposes. It's not illegal. What they did to you is what would be done if you went to a hospital and reported rape.

It's the standard process of doing a rape kit. Has to be documented for legal purposes

Your mom was probably trying to get him for rape but if there was no evidence there was nothing she could do.

I think that's fine because it was a doctor. Unless they were taking pictures with their cellphone. I dont think they were taking advantage of you, just looking for damage. But you shouldn't be afraid to tell a doctor what makes you feel uncomfortable.

Everything sounds normal but them taking pictures is weird to me.

No. They have to do a forensic interview and all that other stuff after cases of sexual abuse...

Agreed I work for child protection services and that is exactly what they do when they suspect sexual abuse. The pictures are not illegal

The pics are unusual however if your mom pressed the issue for rape, in order to get the guy for it they would need "evidence" of trauma. They don't do that for regular std screening

Sounds like a rape exam though I have never heard of them taking pictures of the inside. Are you sure that's what they did and not something else?

I'm not sure it was so long ago and my mom took me there months after that happened. However my older sister went to that exact place when she got raped and she said they didn't take pictures but they did check her vagina and swab it ECT.
