Cereal in breast milk?

Question

Im really wanting my son to sleep through the night. Ive been falling asleep during his night time feeding and its really worrying me. Can i put cereal in his last bottle for the night to see if he'll sleep longer? If so how long can a cereal bottle stay at room temp because i usually have a bottle ready when i go to bed for his middle of the night feeding can i still do that?
EDIT: My baby is 4 months old and this is when i started giving my oldest cereal too but he was on formula by now so i didnt know if breast milk was different.

I'd talk to your pediatrician. Cereal in bottles is usually only recommended if your baby has problems with reflux due to it being a choking hazard.

All I know is that my pediatrician said to wait until my daughter is six months old to introduce solids, regardless if I'm breastfeeding or formula feeding (I have to do a combination because I have low milk supply). I am not too sure about  putting cereal into a bottle; I know it says not to do it on the label, but definitely ask your pediatrician.

I wasn't getting any sleep for the first couple of weeks. My daughter's pediatrician (who is also my primary care physician) suggested giving her formula right before bed so that she could sleep longer and so I could get rest, too. It worked really well for us 😊

Talk to the doc. I wouldn't advise it unless there's a medical reason (such as reflux).
