baby screams while having a bowel movement?

Question

My 1month baby is on a formula for a cow's milk allergy. She's happy almost alway except when she poops! She screams until she's purple and can't breathe. Her poos are soft, greenish, but come out as pellets (but they're really soft like playdoh). Any ideas of what it is or what could help?
We already move and bend her legs. I've checked for signs of a rash. There's no blood.

I would call the pediatrician for sure. Pellet like poop (even if soft) seems like a red flag to me. Good luck!

My 5 week old was having to really strain to poop and our doctor told us to put a little prune juice in his bottle once a day. It really seems to be helping.

We've added gas drops to my daughter's bottles and its helped a lot.

Ask ur pediatrician but you can use a lubricants thermometer and put into tushy a little to help give the feeling of pooping! I have had to do that with my son a few times already! It takes a few seconds for poop to come out and I do it a few times per session but he's a different baby after!!! It's so sad to see the strain...I also was just told probiotics can help

Now I'm experiencing the same problem with LO docters say there is no code in the system to write a prescription to change his milk (which  is a lie) my son needs Gerber Soy milk. So now I'm going to have to either change his pediatrician or come out of pocket each week for a can of Milk smh

Weirdly my lilly she was screaming while pooping, and I thought soft poop should make it easier how wrong was I.  I changed formula for aptamail thick one as my little one had reflux and it's stopped, she started doing solid poo after a day and she is so relax when she poops. I use to help her with popping, I have been holding her legs upright till she wouldn't poop but now she is doing it in her own with out even one tear. The reason she was screaming was that she had stomach ache that's what her poops were very soft.

Gerber Soy milk and try a rectal thermoter to help baby pass the bm just act like your taking LO temp and go in little circles that should relief some pressure

You can try gerber soothe. It's probiotic drops that help build good gut bacteria to break down food. They are on the baby isle and my pediatrician recommended them.

My previous pregnancy my LO Had severe projectile vomiting so the Docter changed LO formula to Gerber Soy and I found that it's more gentle on the stomach and less of a mucas consistency
