Am I Crazy??

So obviously LO first birthday is not until October..... However my husband and I have been thinking about her birthday party. I know she won't remember it so we have thought about renting a cabin in the mountains and inviting our family to go with us for 2 nights/3 days. We would fully pay for the cost of the cabin and for dinner one night. Would it be unreasonable to ask them to pay for obviously their gas, bring groceries enough to feed their family, and for some low cost activities that we would plan? If it were you, would you go? Am I crazy for asking people this?
