Anyone dealing with "baby mama drama"? This is the first relationship I've been in, in which my SO has had a child. I've been nothing but kind, quiet, and supportive... not sure what else to do?! Help! 😬

I just thought of something that was good for my boyfriend's exwife. Their relationship is NOT GOOD, but I've always been nice to her. When my boyfriend's son moved in with us I told her this: I love your son like I love my own but I don't want to be his mom, you're his mom.
We make sure she's involved in everything with school and sometimes I'll text her and let her know little things, like he passed a reading test or we found out he really likes duck breast.

Basically, if you're gonna stick it out I have to advise based on personal experience that you need to keep your mouth shut on any family drama, even if it involves you. Confide in a good friend and ask your boyfriend to help navigate any drama. Also, let her know you're not going to try to play mommy to her kid.

Me and my SO have been together for 4years, and I don't have any problem wit his son's mother, cause I don't get involved in any of situations when it comes to their son.

my boyfriend and I met when his daughter was one, almost two and she is turning five in March. luckily her mother and I have never had an issue. her mother has substance abuse issues so we have his daughter the majority of the time. she has been trying to live a clean life for the past 6-ish months and since my boyfriend works a lot, she and I do most of the communication. she gets ahold of me to ask me if I can come get their daughter, etc. 
They had mediation recently and I was told she spoke very warmly of me and how much their daughter loves me. 
I'm very lucky to not deal with "baby mama drama", maybe after some time it will get better! just continue to try not to overstep your boundaries, be respectful, and try to remain neutral in any conflicts they may have.

I know how you feel. And it's not fun to deal with. This girl is selfish and will always put herself before anyone else, even her daughter. I've seen her do it plenty of times, and me and my SO always make sure that when we see his daughter that she has the time of her life. He is such an amazing father to her and I can't wait for us to have a baby together. But no matter what this catty selfish ****** (I have a lot of names for this woman) is always trying to take his daughter away from him. It's sad. And I know it's hard but there is nothing we can do but sit back and keep quiet. Because the second we try to get involved it just makes things worse. It's so hard to do. But it's all we can do.

I had my oldest with my high school sweetheart, I'm almost 24 now.  The only advice I can give you is don't overstep your boundaries, although he is with you now they still need to communicate about their child. Being a step mom is awesome but in the end you don't have any real decision making authority. My son's step mom and I got along famously for years but when she had a child, things changed and she thinks she's my son's mother at times and it irritates the hell out of me. Just be as nice as you can and just try to make it work for the child.  If not, go to court and get things set up for time sharing.

I've played step mom twice in my life. Even with the nicest ex, there will still be issues of territory. I've been fortunate in that both women were screwballs that literally just gave their kids to the dad so there has never been any visitation drama, but there's always something. You're either willing to deal with it or not and that's entirely up to you. Good luck!

Personally I could never be with a man who already had kids. Especially one who hardly ever sees his kids. His children should be his main priority, and he should be fighting with everything he has to make them number one. I could never respect a man who put me or anything else ahead of his children. So I guess I would run.
