diaper raffle

I am having my baby shower march 11th and my husband will be having a diaper party at the same time, this is all set up by his mom. She has painting parties with her friends every once in a while and is having one next Saturday and is talking about making a Facebook event for it and making it a diaper raffle. I don't know if I'm just being weird about it, but it makes me uncomfortable because I feel like that's asking for too much these are her same friends that she has invited to my baby shower. I don't wanna upset her but I feel like it's just a bad idea. Thoughts?
