Gotta take it on Tuesday and I'm so nervous! How bad is it really? Did you eat normal the day before the test?

My doc told me to eat normal. He specifically said if you fast that It can skew the test and said if you fail, then you have to fast for the 3 hour test.  It was the same process with my first child. It doesn't taste great, but my OB office chills it and it helps. Just plug your nose and drink! 😂😂

I had to eat 6 servings of carbs the 3 days leading up. Honestly, the test day wasn't bad. I felt a little nauseous after the drink, but mostly I was fine. Took a snack to eat immediately after I was done. And you can drink as much water as you want!

Your doctor should have given you a diet that you need to follow for 3 days leading up the test. The night before the test, you are not to eat or drink anything after midnight. The actual test itself isn't horrible. The drink is worse than the 1 hour one because it's double the sugar and tastes a lot more syrupy. You also can't eat or drink anything, even water during the test which was hard for me because I get thirsty so easily. The worst part was all the waiting. Make sure you bring things like music or a book or something to pass the time. I've taken the 3 hour test twice and passed both times. Good luck. xx

It's more annoying how long you have to sit there and waste a day. Eat normally and go for the least amount of fasting time you can. It you go in after 12 hrs of fasting and drink 100 grams of liquid sugar and sit there for an additional 3 hrs of not being able to eat anything of course your levels may come back elevated even if not by much.
