Birth story of Eden Mae!

Lorrisa
Baby Eden was due on February 4th, her due date came and went and my doctor then set an induction date for valentines day! Monday the 13th I woke up to my water breaking, after a few hours we made our way to the hospital. Since labor wasn't progressing I was started on pitocin and labored for 5 hours before getting my epidural after finding out I had only progressed 2cm. After 11 hours of laboring with an epidural I was fully dilated! My doctor turned off my epidural before pushing so I could feel the contractions (Ouch)! I pushed for 4 long hours and baby girl still wasn't making her way out. My doctor then tried to assist with suction and we had no luck- so I ended up with a C-Section. Eden was born at 8:49AM weighing 8 pounds 11oz and 22 inches long! Although her delivery was not ideal and kind of traumatizing, we have our girl and she is so healthy and loved :)
Recovery now is a bit rough for me. I have a spinal headache from the spinal tap I had to get before my cesarean, stitches for a 2nd degree tear from pushing, and a c-section incision. Of all of those, the spinal headache is by far the most painful thing. I cant stand up for more than a minute at a time, the pain is excruciating! I'm thankful to have my husband since he has been doing pretty much everything! I pray this pain goes away soon so I can be more active with our girl! As a first time mom, my birth experience honestly wasnt great at all, but GOSH was our baby worth it! I would do it over and over again for her :)
