Bikini while pregnant?

Question

So my husband and I are going to Florida in March with our one year old and I will be 27 weeks pregnant. I have had to buy new summer clothes, but as far as swimsuit goes my husband and I don't agree. 
He wants me in a one piece all covered up, while I would rather wear a bikini and is still covering and not exposing everything.
I already hate wearing clothes on my belly this pregnancy and spend most time at home in a sports bra or with my shirt pulled up. 
Is it bad to wear a bikini while pregnant?!

I'd be pissed if my husband told me he'd prefer me to be covered up. We live in St Pete Beach, Florida, where it gets so humid and sunny in the summer. I'm due in Late June, and like heck I'd cover up so he's comfortable. Especially while he's just wearing a pair of trunks. Down here it's more common to see pregnant ladies in bikinis. I just wear a light pullover sundress over my bikinis when we need to go to the market or run a quick errand. 
Just don't underestimate frequent sunscreen applications.

Wear what you're comfy in! If that's a bikini that do it. I personally won't wear one but that's cause I'm a little over weight and uncomfortable in one.

I wore a bikini when I was pregnant the other summer, and ill do the same this summer I imagine. If you're comfortable with it, go for it.

My bikini from pre pregnancy still fit and I saw no reason to shell out for another bathing suit I would only use for one trip. Plus, like you I find it comfortable to not be wrapping up my belly. Wear the bikini and let that belly hang out proud! When else is it societally acceptable to do so?

Girl you wear the bikini. I personally feel a bikini would be more comfortable. My tighter tank tops drive me nuts because I feel like they pull at all my new tummy hairs lmao I couldn't imagine a one piece bathing suit. And it's not going to be as easy to find a bathing suit to fit right. Rock that pregnancy body. You'll look great!

I wore my bikini the whole summer while pregnant I was in the pool constantly because for some reason I couldn't eat unless I was in water lol. I don't see anything wrong with wearing one if your comfortable in it

I wore bikinis through all of my pregnancies. Not tiny ones with my humongous pregnant boobs hanging out, but I'll wear normal bikini bottoms and a top that keeps the ladies under control. It's hard finding a maternity one piece that doesn't fit frumpy anyway. I'd laugh my butt off if my husband tried to tell me what not to wear.

Wear what you want and feel comfortable in! I always get a little pang of love when I see pregnant ladies rocking the bikinis! If you've got it, and feel comfortable in it, flaunt it. And your husband, while he may be trying to be protective, should respect you and your choice.  Rock it, girl
