Update: How soon can your OB schedule an induction?

I have an OB appointment Wednesday and my OB said we'll make a plan for scheduling an induction at the appointment. I'll be 39+4 that day. I want to have the baby this week, because my husband leaves for the Army next week. Anyways, what was the timing like if your OB scheduled an induction? Was it the same week? Did they require you to be past your due date if it was a healthy pregnancy? Did they schedule on weekends or weekdays only? Is there a chance she'll let me do it same day as my appointment - Wednesday ??
