can i skip the white pills?

I started my first pack on the 5th and right on the 16th i started my period, and yesterday i also just started my week 3 pills (its a 4 week pack btw), do i just skip the white pills, and go straight into a new pack?

I usually take the white pills and skip the brown ones.

If you skip the white pills, which I'm assuming are the placebo/sugar pills of your pack, you won't be getting your period. When I started the pill, the lady said that it's okay to skip the placebo week, but only once in a while.
