Introducing Dace McCrae! He was due on February 23rd but I began having contractions at 9:30 am on the 17th and at 10:30 pm my water broke as I was lying in bed. Got to the hospital at 11:00 and was already dilated to 5 cm! Since my plan was to have an all natural birth, I went three more hours medication-free and got to 9 1/2 cm before I decided I wanted the epidural. Luckily the anesthesiologist was in the next room when I made the decision. After receiving pain control, it took probably 4 more hours and my baby boys head finally slipped through the cervix. It wasn't until I began to push that it became apparent his cord was wrapped around his neck. The doctor used a vacuum to help get him here quickly with my pushes. And at 7:42 am Saturday Feb. 18th, I gave birth to the best blessing I've ever known!! I am so thankful that he got here  afely! He is such a joy and he's as sweet as can be and absolutely beautiful. He breastfeeds like a champ. 😌 He has my whole heart! 💙
