Allergy medicine during pregnancy?

I just found out I'm pregnant for the first time. I'm being very aware of not drinking alcohol or taking medication, but I have horrible seasonal allergies and I'm worried that when spring comes around I'll be a sneezy horrible mess. Has anyone tackled allergies while pregnant, or will I have to be a bubble girl all spring and summer!?

My OB says Claritin, Zyrtec, Allegra and Benadryl are all safe to take.

Your dr will give you a safe med list and if they don't, ask. My allergies actually weren't as bad during my pregnancies (thank goodness), but I wouldn't have wanted to suffer through my normal allergy season with no relief.

Pretty much all the otc meds (benadryl, claritin, allegra, zyrtec) were OKed my my dr.  You can also try a saline spray or a neti pot, but neither of those have ever worked for me.

I take generic versions of zyrtec and singulair, and my obgyn said they're fine

I used Flonose which is a nasal spray but you can always call your doctor and ask them what is safe to take.

I hear benadryl is safe to use. Not sure about anything else.
