My water broke at home on Valentine's Day around 8pm. I must say the timing was pretty good. It was 30 min after having dinner with the baby's father. I was actually in the bathroom   At the time😂. Of course when I told the father my water broke he went into turbo mode and we left for the hospital.  

Around 7 hours in I was having regular contractions @ 4cm and 90% effaced, I opted for an epidural.  Fast forward to hour 20 of labor and there was a little distress. I had spiked a fever which caused concern for infection. My contractions were clocking 5 min long and about 2 minutes in between each one , which was putting a lot of strain on the baby. Finally his head was turned so he would lower into an appropriate station to give birth. So the Dr opted for an immediate C section. 

I can't say I'm  a fan of the C section experience. It was very uncomforatable and the pain is certainly intense during recovery. My son was born with bruising because it was very difficult to maneuver him. However all of that said, I would 100% do it again for the safety of my child if I had to. 

Theo was born weighing 8lbs 14 oz, 20.5 inches. He had a slow start and I had a few complications of my own during recovery but we are finally home and doing wonderfully!
