How soon are you taking maternity leave?

This probably applies to the UK really. How soon are you thinking of starting mat leave?

I'm working until 38 weeks but then the first week is holiday and my ML officially starts 6 days before my due date I've suffered throughout my pregnancy as I'm on my feet all day and it was hard throwing up and not eating with low blood pressure and constant infections my boss has been amazing and allowing me to do admin tasks now otherwise I don't think I'd even last that long lol but I'm happy I can as it means I get longer with my baby when he is here 💙

I'm starting my MAT leave 11 days before my due date but also taking A/L 2 weeks before that so all in all 25 days before (I have a house to paint) then I'm taking the full year off 🙌🏽

I'll be 37 weeks when I go on maternity leave. This is my first but I have a feeling she might come early. I work at a desk but suffering with really bad backache, I don't know how much longer I can put up with leaning over to reach the keyboard it's so painful by the end of the day! (I had back problems before getting pregnant so they've only got worse). I'm hoping 37 weeks will be just right, obviously I'll work longer if I can x

I'm working until a week before - I'm also a desk job so not strenuous just hard to reach the keyboard 😂😂
I wanted to keep my holidays for after the baby is born and have as much time with him as possible x

Mine technically started at 32 weeks on the 5th of Feb however I've been on holiday since the 16th of December since I saved it all up so I've actually been off since about 25 weeks but I'm having twins otherwise I would have worked longer, I've always worked up to 38 weeks with all off my singletons but just couldn't cope with it this time!!

It's my last week this week, I will be 34 week when I finish, but I'm a health care assistant so doing 12 hour shifts, and on my feet most of the day, I'm so ready to finish!

I'm starting mine just over a week before my due date as I want to save as much time for after as possible.

I did have holiday to use as well so really I am taking just over two weeks off before. Hope that makes sense.

Obviously all depends on what type of job you do do to. Mine is a desk job so quite easy to sit at desk and not do anything to strenuous.
