What should I expect with a emergency c section at 38 weeks? This is my first c section ever I have always had vaginal births so I am extremely nervous about what will happen.

The c-section isn't the hard part, the recovery is. Take your time with leaving the hospital, get as much as help as you can from the nurses, and if you need it, take the pain meds that they give you. If you have people that can come over, and help you with the baby, take the help. I stayed and helped my mom out, until my baby brother was 4wks old. It was hard for her to get out of bed, sit somewhere, or even use the bathroom.

I had. C section on the 16 . I have had no issues at all. I left the hospital after 2 days I am feeling great and loving every minute of my baby . They tell you. It to lift more then your baby but everything else from sleeping to using the restroom is cake
