Did you buy maternity clothes?

My family keep telling me I'm gonna have to buy some, but I really don't want to. Can I get away with not buying any?

I just bought two pairs of maternity pants & that's it. Jeans & leggings. Sooooo worth it for comfort.

I think it depends. I work in a corporate setting so I had to look professional. I had to buy some maternity clothes to avoid looking sloppy. If I were a SAHM I totally would have bought a pair or two of leggings (they're SOO comfortable) and would have just worn bigger shirts.

I wouldn't waste money on maternity clothing if you can still fit in all of your clothes. I'm on my third child and stilll fit in all my clothes. For me I had to go up jean size AFTER I had my child, because my hips and butt got wider and bigger, only time. So I'd hold off if you don't need bigger clothes

You don't necessarily have to, but if you want nicer clothes that look good while pregnant you might find that you want to. Either way I wouldn't suggest buying until you need to or decide you want to wear them for comfort. You just don't know how much or where on your body you'll gain weight aside from your bump. I actually lost weight everywhere, but my bump and breasts so I ended up needing smaller sized maternity pants and bigger shirts. But I also wear a lot of bigger, comfy, non maternity clothes around the house.

Every gal is different but I don't think there are many that can get through pregnancy without maternity clothing. If you're worried about the cost, there are lots of options on ThredUP! Or you can borrow from a friend or family member? I'm a lawyer so I needed work pants (I can still wear my suit jackets), some tops and a few dresses. Plus a couple pairs of jeans and some casual shirts. The belly band helps you stay in your regular pants longer, but most women gain weight in their legs and everywhere else eventually so you probably won't fit in them until the end. One more thing... maternity pants are a million times more comfortable than jamming yourself into tight clothes. I was hesitant like you but once I put on my first pair there was no going back lol

The only thing I bought were a few pairs of maternity leggings. Thankfully I like loose flowly clothes, so a lot of my shirts are tunic style and have fit throughout my whole pregnancy. Also at the beginning when the weather was still warm, I wore a lot of skirts and dresses too. 
I think whether or not you need to buy maternity clothes depends a lot on what kind of clothing you already own and if you have any work clothing restrictions. I work from home so I didn't have to worry about specific "dress" clothes or anything like that.

Nope. 3rd pregnancy and never bought maternity clothes. I use belly bands over my bottoms but other than that i wear my usual clothing. Most of my dresses and tops are stretchy materials anyways so they fit fine. As long as you don't gain excess weight you dont need maternity clothes. They are very comfy but if you're worried about having to buy maternity clothes just don't eat for two. Better for your body and your checkbook lol

I did but I needed things to go to work in. I also get two pairs of jeans. I love them they are so comfortable.
