My Nexplanon has expired past December. I still have it in. A few weeks ago my boyfriend took me to the ER because my period had came 14 days after my last. My cramps were more intense then usual and I had sharp pains. My doctor told us that it was my Nexplanon finally expiring. My boyfriend was told (by his mother who is a former nurse) that if I replace my expired Nexplanon with another one then I could be sterilized forever. I don't really wanna get on the pill because I'm forgetful. I want the Nexplanon so I don't have to worry. What should I do?
