Finding the perfect ob/gyn, did you stick with your original or go to a couple before finding the one ?

First time pregnancy and idk if I should stay with my ob/gyn that I have only seen once prior. I'm currently 6wks 2days and have met with the NP in the facility and have an appt with the ob in 3weeks. I'm curious if more people stayed with their current ob/gyn or how many different ob/gyns they seen before finding the one they wanted.

I'm definitely going to give her a chance but I'm not exactly sure what to look for when deciding if shes who I want to take this journey with. I want to get the best care possible while having a great relationship with my doctor.

Any suggestions? Comments? What did you do?

I switched from my original ob/gyn just because I knew I wanted to be at a different hospital. I met with my new one at 8 weeks and didn't really like her or get a good vibe. I have an appt in a couple of days for my 12 week and I called to switch to a different one. I wasn't going to but after talking to friends and family, they explained it was an important decision. I'm sure I'll be glad I switched!

I stayed with mine but I did research and read all reviews. I had an awful obgyn experience in an ER while miscarrying so I knew what I didn't want. You just want an obgyn that answers all your questions and doesn't force anything on you. I feel like those two things are what most people complain about. You'll know what's right for you though! Just remember it's better to switch sooner than later so if you feel it's not the right person don't put it off
