Your experience with evening primrose oil?

How many weeks did you start taking it and how was your labour?

Answer

I started at 35 weeks and gradually increased the dose. I also paired it with raspberry leaf tea capsules. My labor was terrible. It was my longest and most painful labor. BUT I believe that was because I had dislocated 2  segments of my tailbone only 11 months ago. My labors went like this:
1st- 40w, 6 hours of labor, 3 small tears(no stitches), swollen and painful vagina afterwards
2nd- 39w, 3 hours of labor, stitches required, swollen and painful vagina afterwards
3rd- 38w, 12 hours of labor, no tears, no swelling or pain afterwards

So... I think the combination helped amazingly with the recovery but I can't say much about it helping with the labor due to my prior injury. I used the EPO orally and vaginally.
