Cloth diapers! Would you try it?

Since using cloth my baby has yet to have a blowout whereas with disposables it would come out everytime he pooped!

We want to try washable diapers/nappies, although my parents have been giving me so many horror stories of when they tried with my brother D: (including nearly stabbing him in the penis with a pin...)

But I keep telling them, reuseable nappies have changed since the early 80's 🙄

In Bangalore, there's a huge issue with garbage disposal, with a lot of garbage just being randomly dumped and burned (I can't open the windows some days...) I really don't want to contribute to that with a mountain of dirty nappies, so we're going to make a big effort to stick to reuseable ones as much as possible. (Except for plane journeys, when we go back home for visits; I don't think we'd be popular on a 10 hour flight with a stinky bag of poop)

If anyone has any advice or tips, I'd love to hear them!

What brand do you use? I really want to cloth diaper when baby arrives, I think it's a great idea (though my MIL keeps calling me a hippie😅).
