three days late...too early to test?

I'm three days late and a lot of the signs so I took a test and it was negative, we have been trying for a year exactly and I'm starting to get discouraged.

Sometimes you have to wait a few weeks after having sex. My friends mom waited almost two weeks and got a negative result, and she ended up actually being pregnant.

I tested at 7days late... negative. Waited until 14 days late... pregnant. Sometimes your body hasn't started producing enough of the pregnancy hormone at the date of your missed period. Also there are many things that can cause you to skip a period all together, stress, illness, quitting smoking. Your body does crazy things sometimes. Either make an appointment for a blood test to confirm pregnancy or wait it out. Good luck!
