I work at a bank of all places, and this still happens to me. I was originally told that I could take 12 weeks UNPAID medical leave when I had my son. I get a call today, when my son is only SIX WEEKS OLD, stating that since I had my six week PP appointment that I have to return to work immediately or be fired. As in tomorrow. I was misinformed and received one days notice. I am actually considering quitting at this point, because not only is it ridiculous to expect someone to do such a thing, but I find it awful that my time was cut in HALF. I am at a loss and have spent the last half hour crying, holding my son.
