So I found I'm having a boy and I thrilled 😄 but my so wants to name our bundle of joy after him his name is Ricardo but I not really a fan of his name I want to make our bundle of joy Aiden what do you guys think is anyone else having similar problems ?

My boyfriend has mentioned naming our son after him a couple of times. I can tell he really does want to. I just explained to him that I am really not into the junior thing. I want my son to be unique. Its not that I dont like the name Joseph, I just want my son to be original. Luckily, him and I really LOVED another name anyway, so picking something other than joseph wasnt a big fight. If your SO likes aiden, then go for aiden! I always tell my boyfriend that one of our kids is bound to name their son after him. That gives him a little comfort!

I voted for Ricardo but really I wanted to say something else completely! My s/o never even mentioned naming our son after him! We as Italians traditionally go with our fathers names and to be honest neither of us wanted that either! If my fiancé had made a big deal about the situation and really pushed for a certain name be it his or his fathers or mine I would have completely just went with it if he felt that strongly and it would make him happy! But if I truly hated the name I would have just said I really feel like I want him to have his own name why don't we come up with it together!!! Let him pick the other name out with you instead of you just liking one name! That's what we did we made a list of names we loved then together picked the one we loved the most together it wasn't hard we only agreed on 1 name lol.. Weston Gabriel!! Gabriel is actually my s/o middle name lol so I guess he is partially named after my fiancé! Why don't you suggest Aiden Ricardo!

You should both love whatever name you pick. So if you don't love Ricardo, that's fair; if he doesn't love Aiden, that's also fair & you guys might have to start over on the name search.

My oldest son is Aiden so I'm bias BUT Ricardo has always been one of my most favorite names. Also, my husband wants a namesake but his name is Gustavo Francisco and even though I absolutely love my husband, I DO NOT love his name so I can totally empathize. Our last name also starts AND ends with an O and that's just way too much for me. Someone is going to have to budge. Or you can come up with a name that's neither Aiden or Ricardo but you both like. The name game is so hard haha Good luck, mama.

I gave into my husband, because I had 3 girls I named on my own, and it meant so much to him. Plus he is a good man, that went out of his way for me, when I was pregnant. I love him, and it made him so happy, he cried.
