What should I do?

As everyone knows, spring break is coming up.  Im supposed to get my period the day before I go to Arizona. I have tried light tampons and i still bleed through alot, but regular tampons are very uncomfortable. I usually wear pads but we are going to a water park during break. Any suggestions for what i should use?

Have you tried different brands of tampons? I noticed some regular tampons are actually smaller than other brands. I preferred the Kotex brand before I got pregnant because the regular ones seemed a little thinner than the playtex or generic brands. They still did the job just as well as the Kotex, but were less comfortable. 
Most women bleed less while submerged in water so it may work out that the light flow tampons work, or you may just have to change them more often.
