Extended Period

Hi 😊 so I've always had irregular periods so I went to get birth control to regulate it. I missed my period for 4 months and the only way I could start my BC is if my period came, so I hadn't used the BC yet. Finally, I got my period. It start out as spotting for about 4 days and then turned into a heavy period. Then stopped on a Sunday. I started my BC on that Sunday and my period came back Tuesday. It's now been about 14 days that I've have a heavy period. I have no cramps or anything and I've been taking my pill regularly. Is this normal?
