So my youngest was born July 2015.. When I was pregnant with him, the normal time to get the gtt was 28 weeks (at my ob office). Two years later, I'm getting it at 16 weeks. I know part of it is due to me being overweight but they said they are doing it between 16-20 weeks now. I understand fully why they've changed it- early detection and earlier treatment is best- I get that, I'm an LPN. But why did it take them so long to figure this out. I really think this should be and should have been the norm for a long time now. I'm happy to be getting this done and over with but boy is it hard when you're still fighting pretty bad morning sickness..
