Does Gestational Diabetes have symptoms?

I've read both it does and it doesn't but just wanting to start this poll to have more insight.

I have zero symptoms when my BS is high, but if it's low I get really hot and disoriented. That's only happened a couple times, but I knew immediately what it was when it started.

I was diagnosed with GD at 13 weeks. I had no symptoms. I was already eating pretty healthy, so maybe that helped, but there were no apparent signs that I had it. I was told that common symptoms could be frequent urination, excessive thirst, and being tired.... All normal pregnancy symptoms. Which is why they test.

The confusion is that the symptoms can be confussed as normal pregnancy symptoms too.  Like dizziness, exhaustion etc.  Typically the symptoms are the same if you had type 1 or 2 diabetes or GD.

I was told and read that it does not have any profound symptoms and that is why they have to test all pregnant women.

I have been battling gestational diabetes since 10 weeks and it definitely has symptoms, especially if your sugar is up and down.
