Hi ladies and gents , wanted share some information with you all. I am lesbian and when first started ttc journey. I was on internet searching for price of donors and clinic's. I was buying test and tracking my ovulation. One day my grandparents tell me we will pay for sperm for year or until I get pregnant. This was offered as a gift trust me my grandparents aren't spoiling or enabling type. I had the money but not going lie due my fertlity issues. I strongly was considering their offer.

However after a ectopic pregnancy and fb rant . I received a message from a high school freind asking go out coffee so we could chat.

I went she informed that her husband couldn't give her kids. I raised eyebrow (they had 4). She said not biologically anyways because he testicular cancer and treatment left him sterile. She went on tell me her parents offered to help out too. She found it too risky and upon researching she stumbled on to this sight called Known donor registry. Told me how thier donor blessed them said try them out.

I was very impressed but skeptical. I went ahead typed it and read through the site info. It took me three weeks to make an account. Mainly because I kept telling myself it won't work for me. Anyway it was best decision I made.

It took little work find my perfect donor. However it was worth it. We met up talked and then discussed my fertlity issues. I told my Dr said once relax and time is right. I will be able hold a baby that he saw no use me coming into a clinic . My donor was very understanding . He was respectful and patient. There never a time he even hinted towards sex.

*fyi sex from known donor to achieve pregnancy *can complicate things. If ever had go court he could lie and say you guys were in a relationship. Also document everything. I had lawyer so this was easy for me.

I did simple known donor contract with a lawyer to delete his paternal rights. Some people use a notary only to make sure only them and thier spouse have rights. The cost most time is free but depends on the donor you will be surprised at how much people just want help you achieve your dreams. Std testing and genetic testing should be covered by you.

I am not a doctor or lawyer. This advice simply another avenue to consider if you feel like your out of options .
