What did you wear to your service members basic graduation??

Question

Hey ladies! I'm starting to plan my trip up to Great Lakes, IL (We live in Florida so I need to plan early.) And I'm curious what you wore to your service members basic graduation? It's in late September-early October so would a dressy sweater/ shirt cardigan duo with nice pants be suitable? Perhaps a long dress?

I was the one graduating so I don't have pictures but I promise you'll be surprised by what you'll see some people wear. 
I graduated in January and there were women wearing very short dresses, with small jackets and high heels, several of them fell because of the ice and snow. They looked awesome but it's not something I would have worn.
I am just giving this example so you know that it only matters what you feel good in and it sound like your outfit will be classy and comfortable.

When my now ex graduated from Great Lakes I wore a nice blouse and some dress pants and flats. A nice dress would be fine I don't recommend heels bc where you sit is a lot of stairs and bleachers and I almost ate crap in my flats lol and BRING TISSUES!!! lol I was 6 months pregnant so maybe it was that but seriously emotional lol congrats and thank them for their service!!

I wore this dress and didn't feel over dressed while there.  His graduation was at parris island in July.

I wore this I'm September but it was in California. A lot of people dress up but then a lot of people get tshirts with their family members last name and platoon number and everything on it. My mom wore an off white dress and my dad wore a black USMC shirt with jeans. I'm sure whatever you pick out will be fine because you'll see everything there! And the most important part is seeing your family member! :)

This is the only picture I have, I wore a black dress, and black tights since it was cold lol.
