13 cans of formula?

My 19week old is going through at least 13 cans of formula a month! I make him either a 6oz or a 4 oz and he cries for more so I only make a 4oz. In an hour hour and a half maybe he's wanting ANOTHER bottle! What do I do? I was putting cereal in it, but stopped. Nothing has changed.

I'm not sure what the question is exactly. If he's hungry, feed him. If 4 oz isn't cutting it, up it to 6. He's probably going through a growth spurt if this is out of the ordinary for his feeding schedule. Or he could just be eating more because he's getting bigger and has upped his intake.

Our pediatrician said that introducing solids can happen at 4 to 6 months. That would be 16 weeks at earliest - your little one is 19 weeks and he could be ready. 
Please make sure that the bottle nipple opening is large enough for the food (thickened formula or puréed food) to pass through. 
You might not be ready for him to grow up so soon, but he is the guide here and you can only follow his lead :)

The Dr said to go ahead and start on cereal(I did for two or three weeks but put it in his bottle) we've tried solid foods but he just can't get it and gets pissed off and starts yelling. This isn't out of the ordinary. He eats, ALOT. But still so tiny.

At 19 weeks my son was doing 6-8 oz every 3-4 hours. Baby might be growing. Talk to his doctor if you're concerned, they can let you know if he's eating too much or ready for solids or whatever.

He might just being going through a growth spurt. He could also be ready for solids. I start my lo on cereal at 4mo and by 4.5 was doing it twice a day then by 5 mo started baby food.  When I breastfeed my lo are about every 1.5/2 hrs for the longest time wasn't until about 6ish mo did he started to spread out a little. I think the solids had a part on that.

You could always try the bottle and if he wants more do rice cereal in his high chair instead of in the bottle and see if that keeps him fuller longer.
