Did I ovulate??

Question

So yesterday I took a clearblue ovulation test and got a solid smiley face. Today I expected another solid smiley or a flashing one, but I got and empty circle. What does this mean? Did I even ovulate?!

Answer

It means you already had your LH Surge. Which means you already ovulated. I used the clear blue advance opk's and got the same thing as you after I had my LH Surge. But about 4 days later I started getting a flashing smiley face again and then got another solid smiley face the week leading up to my period and sure enough I was pregnant. Took a pregnancy test and it was positive. So I just wanted to let you know that could happen if you keep testing after you ovulated and you happen to get pregnant.

Answer

It means the surge is over. Opks don't conform or guarantee ovulation.
