My son will be 4 months on in about 2 weeks, I exclusively pump and he's had no formula until 2 weeks ago when I got my period. My supply completely dropped. I was gettin 3 oz out of left breast 2 out of right. Now I'm getting 1 oz out of each breast. And have to supplement with formula. It killed Me I keep feeling like I failed as a mother because people truly put so much pressure on you to keep breastfeeding as long as you can. But to get to the point, I want to try exclusively breastfeeding again. If I got a bipolar sheild (my baby has a lip tie and hurt me so bad when we would breastfeed, can I be successful with doing it again? And if I do it again will my supply go up??
