8 Weeks!! Found a small hematoma - apparently they go away on their own... but has anyone else had one?

I had one diagnosed after a large bleed with my second pregnancy. Very scary. If you have bright red bleeding in the next month or so, obviously call your doctorD but don't freak out right away. Good luck!!

I also had one detected on my 7 weeks ultrasound (no bleeding). The doctor prescribed 200mg of progesterone twice a day and bed and pelvic rest. I went back today at 8 weeks and it seems much smaller now but there is 2 of them. I should continue taking the meds and be on bed rest for another 4 days and no exercise for the next 3 weeks. Ah and my doctor also prescribed a light laxative as he said the constipation can cause that as well. I believe the good advice is to take it easy and it should resolve on its own. I do..last night I started bleeding very heavily. I soaked my car seat, pants and panties within minutes. I rushed to the ER thinking I was losing the baby. The baby was there with a hb of 175 bpm. My uterus is filled with blood so I'm now on strict bedrest. I started off as a small .6 cm hematoma on the backside of the placenta.

My SIL had one. It went away and she never had any other problems. Baby is a healthy 3 month old now! 😄
