can i take my birtncontrol before my period??

Ive gotten Birthcontrol and i wanna take it. But noone told me if i take it before,during or after my period. I read the instructions but due to me being dyslexic. Its really confusing. I wanna take it tomorrow on Sunday. But what do???? HELP.

You can take it before you start your period. I started my BC  before my cycle started. You can start on Sunday. Pick a time that you will remember everyday and take the pill at the same time. Since you are starting the pill before your period you could start spotting/cramping early or your next period starts later than usual due to the pill basically trying to mimic your cycle but because you are  it taking it early and not allowing it to completely mimic your cycle your hormones get thrown off. When having sex for the first week or two use protection since the pill needs time to protect you since you started it early. It is completely safe to start early.

My doctor told me to wait until my next menstrual cycle to start my pill pack because my period had already passed. (Started Jan. 17 went to the OGBYN Jan. 27) So I would wait until you start your period again and take it the Sunday durning or after your period. (Which ever comes first)

When I got my pill, the lady told me to start taking it the 5th day of my period. You can also start the first day of your period.
