War is about making money... anybody who tells you otherwise is either in on it or stupid. 
    
Context: currently watching Wardogs the above line is how they open the movie.

My history teacher in 5th grade taught me, the best way to end a recession is to start a war. That always stayed with me.

War tends to be about profit, over religion, or over one country doing something they agreed not to do (like invading a country). I try not to call other people's beliefs or opinions stupid, though. I don't agree with that. All you can do is provide someone with cold, hard facts. Calling someone stupid isn't going to fix anything.

Wonder how long it will be before hyper-patriotic pro-war people hijack this post and scream about how we're ungrateful and terrible since war supposedly brings freedom. Oil is not a freedom last I knew.

You need money and resources to be a strong nation. Id rather be a strong nation then a weak nation.

My husband goes to war for me and our sons.

Now occupying somewhere to me is a waste of resources. Let them handle their own problems.
