It's my next step in the horrible adventure of infertility,  has anyone ever gotten one done ? I heard it's painful ,and am nervous about the catheter:/

Mine actually wasn't that painful at all! Just a lot of awkward pressure. But for me it was well worth it, got my BFP the next month! 🤞🏼 good luck!!

I had one done earlier this month and read all of the horror stories and had myself so freaked out. There were some painful points but it wasn't painful overall. I know it depends if your tubes are open though. If you have any blockages it can be painful. I felt a lot of pressure and then tugging on my cervix. I didn't feel the catheter go in at all and the dye felt like I was peeing myself ha. It was gross and uncomfortable in my opinion. Just sort of an awkward procedure and physically uncomfortable but I made it through. Take ibuprofen an hour prior and eat/hydrate. Don't read the horror stories. The doctor, tech, and intern were so nice to me and talked me through the whole thing. Best of luck to you dear! 💕

Ill be getting one soon as well. Going on third round of Clomid no bfp :( Yes, ive heard its very very painful but also you'll be really fertile for 6 months after so fingers crossed
