Healthy baby boy (35w 6d) *Short Story*
So glad that I gave birth to a healthy baby boy. 35w 6d and just as strong as can be no nicu, no long stay...he is perfectly fine; 6lbs 1oz <3. So here's the short story I was taking 17p shots to avoid preterm labor since I have a history of not making it to the "technical" full-term stage. I have had my water break twice before (each during the 36th week, with my two older boys) thus I knew exactly what this was...on 2/24/17 I had a typical prenatal exam and a monsterous attitude with everything, everyone and even myself lol but back to the story, I had been contracting all week long so, even though the doctors didnt think it was necessary, they asked if i would like my cervix checked for dilation. My answer to this was, of course, knowing my previous history (1st 36w 4d, 2nd 36w 5d, 3rd 19w angel baby, & 1 early miscarriage) all before my now 35 weeker...they checked and I was 1cm and starting to efface, so they sent me on my way. The next day however, I was still moody and decided to take a drive around 7pm when suddenly as i shifted in my seat, I was met by that all too familiar feeling of my "water breaking". I decided to get hubby and head to get something to eat before going to the hospital as I had done with my first two, finally arriving to the hospital around 10:30 - 11pm because my contractions started getting closer around 10ish and once there, I refused any pain meds (including epidural) because I've survived labor without them 3 times before, I could do it once more and so I did. But when I arrived at the hospital my contractions were almost completely nonexistent, as they had been between 7 & 9 pm...to sum it up baby boy was born roughly 3:36am with the help of a little pitocin given through the IV, and the help of mommy's pushing. #ProudMotherOf3Preemies
