38 + 5 and no cervical check

So I'm 38 + 5 and this is my first baby. I have no idea how dilated or effaced I am. I have constant pain in the nethers especially when I walk. I've been cramping and I'm so much pain today but it's an overall pain that I can't pinpoint. I don't feel like my self and I'm sorry for the tmi but I feel like I need to pass a movement but I can't. She's moving like crazy but I feel so uncomfortable today and idk if labor is near or what but I need some help figuring this out.
