When can i have a glass of wine if im breastfeeding?

Not gonna lie, getting super excited for a glass of my favorite Pinot grigio lol. Planning on breastfeeding (being induced this week). I know there are charts showing glass to breastfeed ratios and timing but when does that start being safe to even consider?  I don't want to touch anything until I can do so without even the possibility of causing him problems.

Whenever you want.
If you are sober enough to drive then you are fine to breast feed.

I usually have a glass or two with dinner while I nurse my LO.

One glass? You're fine. This whole "pump n dump" method is ridiculous because the alcohol will leave your system AND your breastmilk so throwing it out is unnecessary. And from one glass... the alcohol probably won't affect your baby at all. Different people cite different sources though. Ask your doctor. And instead of dumping the milk, if you want to have 0 alcohol in your blood when you feed, just wait to BF until you've filtered the alcohol out if you can.

One glass of wine you would be fine. I would probably wait until you got the hang of his latch and all that then id say your good. Pump and dump is out dated. It was more for if you like really drink, like lets say you drank a bottle then you could either wait to nurse until your body has metabolized the alcohol or pump the milk and toss it. One glass you have nothing to worry about.

Wait til a month or so make sure he's latching good n your pumping a good amount to stash back then pump n dump after a month or so
