I recently had a miscarriage and my doctor said that bleeding for two weeks is normal. It has been three to four weeks now and I continue to bleed and I also have heavy clots.

Should I be concerned???

There is a wide range of what is normal.

I had a D&C on Thursday and only bled the day of. Since then, it's only been light spotting. But bleeding can last for a few weeks, as long as it's not super heavy or excessively clotty or painful and doesn't have a strong offputting smell.

I think if you miscarry naturally/using the pill then bleeding can last longer and be a bit heavier and more painful because you pass everything on your own instead of having most of it removed during surgery.

I bled for about 3 and a half weeks after my d&c. Its pretty similar to after having a baby
