I used to be able to drink a gallon of milk in one sitting with absolutely no problems. I LOVED milk, and I drank it ALL THE TIME. I drank it for every meal, and whenever I was thirsty, I'd just pour another glass. One day, completely out of the blue, I started getting stomach aches and getting gassy only when I drank milk, but not when I had things cooked with milk, and not when I had cheese or yogurt. Then, ice cream started turning my stomach sour. After a few weeks, cheese did what regular milk did, but regular milk gave me awful diarrhea. Within a year, I couldn't have any milk products at all. I've avoided them for 6 months now, and occasionally I can have something with milk, but I get sick if it has any more than 1 cup of just plain milk. (But the longer I avoid milk products, the more I can have when I go back to them as a treat) seriously sucks to suddenly become lactose intolerant though. Hard to find anything without milk or that is lactose free. They make lactase pills, and those help some people, but the side effects for some people(like me) are the same as of you had milk without taking the pill. Especially if you take the pills regularly. The worst part about it is not being able to eat chocolate unless you want to be seriously sick and in a lot of pain 😢

Don't eliminate you need to go to dr first if they test you and you have already eliminated it your results will not be accurate

Lactose intolerance is actually more common in adults. Your body may just have stopped producing the chemical that breaks down lactose. Spend about 2 weeks dairy free, then try eating some with a lactose pill and see how it goes.

An allergy can happen at any point I was never allergic to anything besides tomato when I was a baby but grew out of it. Now at 25 I have a shellfish allergy and allergy to plant oils. Just make an appt with an allergist.
