Piercings

Are there any mom's out there that had to take out piercings after the pregnancy? I have my nipples pierced and I was curious if YOU had them and breastfed how long before they closed? Or would you take them out then put them back in after feedings? Anyone with any information in this category would be very helpful. I've had them pierced (this time) for just over a year now, and I don't want to take them out and have them close, but I do want to exclusively breastfeed my daughter.
